Session objectives
- 1Understand that masculinity is not one fixed thing — it is a set of performances , each shaped by what society expects of men.
- 2Recognise nine common masks men wear to meet these expectations — and the beliefs and behaviours each carries.
- 3Match the characteristics they wrote on the Asli Mard wall to the masks they correspond to.
- 4Identify, for themselves, one or more masks they have worn — without judgement, without confession, simply with recognition.
- 5Begin to see themselves as both shaped by these masks and capable of taking them off .
